I thought this happy accident photo was interesting as it shows that what we believe in isn't the flag itself but what it represents - a way of life - freedom.

Shades of Purple Iris

I have a long weekend starting today so I was out with the camera instead of on my way to work during the best light of the morning. Some of the shots are from last night, too.

Mom's Yard

The irises are finally blooming.When I got home tonight the sun was perfect in Mom's yard so almost as soon as I got in the house I was out again with the camera. I got a number of good shots but I really like the iris and daisies together.

The azalea is in my front yard along with

the wonderful columbine blooms.

This is my first attempt at a cross our VBS director had a picture of and wanted me to try as a craft for this year's Jerusalem Marketplace.

I am intrigued by it and am thinking of different finishes. So many crafts, so little time.

I keep trying to get a shot of Stormy doing the Puss-in-Boots/Antonio Banderas eyes but she always blinks - even without the flash.

Finally, I am out and about again and taking pictures. Using the "new" camera, I have now taken over 11,000 pictures since we got the camera last summer. I am enjoying myself!
